Jesus praying in gethsemane

Our Calling

Jesus desires for His Bride to be beautiful in His eyes . . . And so He said a prayer for her.

That They May Be One was formed to answer Jesus' prayer in John 17:

11 "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves (those You gave to Me) are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are one."  - John 17:11

20 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they may also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me."  -  John 17:20-23

As Ephesians 4 tells us there is just one body; (vs. 4) "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; . . . (vs. 12) ". . . to the building up of the body of Christ." This body is Jesus Christ's Bride!; Revelation 19:7, "Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him (Jesus), for the marriage of the lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."

Jesus prayed for His Bride to be one; whole, complete, perfect, pure.

That They May Be One's purpose is to be available to our Father in heaven to bring this about.

From Rick,

As a Youth Director, Camp Director, and Pastor I have always worked on bringing the whole church together. Whether it was in leading and being a part of the National Day of Prayer, Emmaus Walks, Community-wide worship and prayer, ministerial alliances, or special events, my heart has always been to bring the church together. In January of 2013 God spoke to me about reaching the whole church. That includes those in a local congregation and those not in one. He wanted His whole Bride turn to Him and be whole again. For years I had mentioned to individuals that we want God to answer our prayers, but who is out there answering Jesus' prayer? Well God told me that I would help with that. That They May Be One is not out to do away with denominations and church structure. It was formed; however, to bring Jesus' desire for His Bride into fulfillment. Who knows, maybe He is talking to you about the same thing!

Your brother forever in Christ Jesus,    RICK

Always looking for those who are called to answer Jesus' prayer.
